Stately pile on a hazy day

Castle Howard, one of Yorkshires best known historic houses, the location for Brideshead Revisited is now a thriving business enterprise. In addition, to the house and gardens, it has restaurants, shops and a lovely garden centre.

Today they had an artisan market with speciality stalls in the courtyard which was the reason for our visit, together with a visit to the farmshop for some organic meat (for me) and local veggies for the vegetarian (my other half)!
