Anna Nicole Smith

This photo was taken after the final dress rehearsal of the modern opera, "Anna Nicole" at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.

It was premiered last year and was a terrific success - so they 've brought it back. Brilliant.

The composer is Mark-Anthony Turnage, and the leading lady (in the centre in the very unfetching lilac dressing-gown) is Eva-Maria Westbroek. She's a magnificent actress as well - nothing like her more conventionally operatic performances in Wagner or Berlioz etc.

The story is that of the Playgirl of the year, notorious lady, Anna Nicole Smith, who really made the headlines when she married an octogenarian billionaire.

Pushing boundaries..... definitely different.
