Fire brigade on standby
It's that time of year!
Slept till twelve. Apparently Corin brought me three cups of tea up during the morning - I vaguely remember but the duvet got pulled back over my head and I pretended that it wasn't today at all!
Got up in an ultra-black mood. Opened my cards and my present from Corin (a fairly sturdy Manfrotto quick release mono pod mount - good for chav bashing), laughed at Corin's addition to the Valentine's card that he got me, then went and sat in the shed, by the fire, drinking tea, sat in my pyjamas, and started feeling grumpy and tearful again.
I have NO idea what the hell is up with me. I must appear ungrateful for my lot. I'm not, I can assure you. Just down in the dumps.
Anyway, was cheered up a little upon coming back in to the house to find that I had hit the magic 9stone mark on the scales. Think I am back up to 9st 4lbs now after eating a lot of birthday cake but heyho.
As the afternoon has progressed, I have cheered up - a bit of cleaning (yes, that makes me feel better), watched last night's Winter Olympic's coverage that I recorded - speed skating is even better on 30x fast forward, decided on my final four for the competition tomorrow, Corin did the shopping (hallelujah for not having to go to Asda) and came back with birthday cake and flowers as well.
Its been a lazy day, but nice - I have my boys around me and all is well.
Comments about candles on the cake prompted the fire extinguisher to be brought out. I suggested that the "almost" on the Valentine card could have an alternative meaning next year "My almost wonderful wife" - yeah, you're good babe, but not quite wonderful!
I know he meant wonderful "almost" wife...48 days and counting.
