A short visit to the Beveridge Park this afternoon.
Still over 50 greylag geese in residence. On the 5th, I commented on a farmyard goose and a Canada goose being amongst them. They still are, but my continued observation seemed to indicate that this odd couple were in fact a pair!. Wherever the Canada goose went, the white one was always close behind.
It was a time for many of them to complete their ablutions - bathing and preening with much flapping of wings. Here is one showing off his/her newly preened plumage.
Whilst there, I also saw another digger wasp but I only ended up with images of empty leaves as it wouldn't keep still for longer than it took my camera to focus.
