Rothesay

After staying overnight with Granny & Grandpa in Beith last night, we decided to take the kids on a wee day trip. The sun was shining so we drove to Wemysss Bay and caught the ferry over to the Isle of Bute.

Once there, we visited Rothesay Castle. I think it's the first time the kids have seen a castle which still has a proper water filled moat!

We had a wee wander round Rothesay but were disappointed to find most places shut - they obviously don't cater much for tourists on Sundays!

Was still a fun day though, helped by the fact it was so warm and sunny!
