Dawn flight

UA 903 inbound from San Francisco to Frankfurt flying over Leven to North Berwick. By the time I'm on a bus to S. Bridge the occupants of this 747 will be deplaning in Germany. I wonder if those on the starboard side looked out to see the silver ribbon of the Forth and a mist shrouded Arthur's Seat?

So, suddenly after 2 years the sleeping giant has woken and realised that these are momentous times. This is real, not a makie on. Even at work, after 2 years of N and I banging on about it, there was finally a real 'what if ' discussion. A what to do on 'the morning after the night before' conversation.

Jim Naughtie can hardly contain his excitement about the developments. For a journalist it must be fantastic. Today we have Dave, Nick and Ed up to drum sense into the rebellious Scots. Will they succeed in their pleading, or will a foot in mouth or a botched photo opportunity seal the deal?
