Speedway Racing

Me and Mr M went speedway racing tonight. Apparently before the 2nd World War it was the single biggest spectator sport before football. Unfortunately now it is very much in decline.

We had a lovely drive down to Arlington Stadium home of the Eastbourne Eagles for the last race meeting of the session. they were racing against King's Lynn who are top of the league table (there are only 9 teams in the league!) and the Eagles won!

Sadly they are not sure if the stadium is going to re-open next year. It simply isn't making enough money.
