Leather on Willow
Yesterday I forgot to mention that when I had my cup of tea in bed before getting up, I was sharing the bed with a very large spider, but didn't discover this until I came to make the bed and found it between JJ's pillows. Needless to say, it was evicted.
I have wanted to photograph these trees for a few weeks now. I can see them from quite a distance away and the colour of the leaves has changed rapidly and now most have dropped due to the dry weather. They are Willows which grow very rapidly and are "harvested" to make cricket bats. Once they have been removed the farmer plants more saplings and the process begins all over again.
