Skating

I have been meaning to go skating for several weeks. Today I finally did it. There is a 7 km ice track snow ploughed on the ice of Taivallahti, a bay in western Helsinki. The track was almost crowded because of beautiful weather and Laskiainen, a mid-winter sliding festival. Sun was shining, I felt very hot and now my legs are aching. Just perfect. :)

I am still skating with these figure skates but I guess it would be wiser to get tour skates (longer blades, no toe picks) for skating like today. First I would like to try tour skates somewhere but have not yet managed to do that.
