Thoughtful Thursday: Mug Rug

I volunteered to do a technique demonstration at our local quilt guild meeting tonight. The coordinator for the evening surprised the presenters with the gift of a unique patchwork piece, perfect for holding a cup of coffee in my sewing area. Away from the fabric and machine, of course. A totally unnecessary gesture, which made it all the more thoughtful!
