Château de St Germain de Confolens

What a lovely day, not a cloud in the sky all day and the perfect day for an evening drive and a bite to eat.

This château dates from the 15th century (constructed on the site of a much earlier motte) and was most likely ruined during the 'wars of religion'. It sits on a hill over looking the Vienne river, near Confolens in the Charente
