The victorian ambition

I had a very pleasant Sunday afternoon pottering around Glasgow's west end. A few hours perusing Kelvingrove - what a brilliant, bustling, interesting place they have created. By happy accident I arrived just in time for the afternoon organ recital. What was at one time a stuffy Victorian sculpture hall was crammed with families, coffee drinkers and young art students, all with necks craned towards the organ in the sky.

A walk down Byers road led to the Botanic Gardens that offered a lovely warm glow through the slight drizzle. My second botanic garden in a few days. At least I'm making the most of my 'garden leave'.
