..... when I'm gone

Following on from yesterday’s blip, today was Becky’s last day at lower school as she moves on to middle school after the summer holiday.

I am pleased to see that she wasn’t over emotional about saying goodbye to her friends as she is the only person who is going to her middle school. Today she was allowed to wear a brand new shirt (its not part of the uniform) specifically to collect signature from pupils and staff.

As I soon realised, the reason that she wasn’t emotional about her farewells is that the entire year group was attending a roller skating party being held by one of the girls who is moving away from the area. Therefore, they were all due to see each other at that event and, as it transpired, they were all so tired after that, that they didn’t seem to note the fact that this was the actual break up.

So today is a significant day in our household as Becky has reached that first schooling milestone. Oh, and time to dust off that Alice Cooper classic.
