Ja/Nein

One Scottish opinion poll took a dramatic turn over the weekend. I wasn't entirely impressed with the promise of a new offer after postal votes had been cast.

Interestingly enough, Basel is having its own referendum at the end of September but for quite the opposite issue. The people will decide whether two cantons, Basel Stadt and Basellandschaft, should merge. I live in one and work in the other and managed to sign up for a bank account in my working canton by mistake so personally I'd be all for it to get the student discounts in both. Sadly I don't have a vote. It seems even more difficult to get a vote in Switzerland than it has been to get one in the Scottish referendum!

I thought I was going to get away from campaigning while here. At least Ja/Nein makes a difference from Yes/No thanks. Some of the posters are quite funny.
