Evening Light

It was a lovely late summer / early autumn day in Edinburgh today. We walked to the museum via the Grassmarket. People were smiling and the atmoshere was quite continental; there are less tourists and it is all more relaxed. This evening we were out orienteering training on Arthur's Seat. I took the camera and had some great views of the sun gradually sinking into the WNW. This blip is 2 shots stitched together and the light was stunning. It was still warm enough for shorts with many people out enjoying the views. There was also a photographer, Tom Duffin, out taking photos and waiting for the moon to rise. It was red and large as it rose through the murk; I didn't have a tripod so didn't try and blip it. He did and it might appear on his website wee photos.
