A&E

Driving home tonight I had that phone call all parents dread.....I could hear him in the background wailing in pain whilst Jules explained his symptoms/condition.... Severe stomach cramps....I've never seen him in such pain... crying out, asking me to help stop the pain.....Very worrying. A quick trip to the health centre and they confirmed we needed to go to A&E for suspected appendicitis.

Of course, from being unable to walk unaided to get into the car before our trip, no sooner had he stepped into the hospital did he start feeling better. Such is the quality of the health care at Addenbrookes.

Four hours later, he was allowed to go home with the sound advice...drink more water, eat more fruit.
