Celebrating with Ruth

I spent this evening with my niece Ruth in Dr Neil ' s Garden in Duddingston village . She had her viva today and passed her PhD with just minor changes to be made.
She had a small celebration with friends and fellow students in the garden and then she and I walked back to the city centre and shared a meal.
It was lovely memorable evening!
It will be great for her to move on to a new chapter of her life .
