Baffled Boone

The flooding in Arizona is receding but not quite over yet.
Boone normally runs down the steps and patrols the shoreline to make sure that no fish or herons try to invade his territory.
Today we went outside and he came to an abrupt stop as the lake is about 2 feet higher than normal and has flooded his turf (you can see the rocks and wall under water).
Boone wades into every stream, lake and pond we encounter on our hikes but he will not put one paw in the lake in his own backyard.
I guess Boone and I are both baffled today! :)
