Doll House

The girls love playing with the 'story cubes' and I love to listen to the wonderful tales they create. We have posted a set to Chris and Nathan so that they can play too; maybe we'll blip some of the narratives the kids come up with :)

On the topic of narrative, I was 'tagged' by Christopher in a game going round facebook to name ten books which have stayed with me. Tough one, but here's my list:

Anna Karenina – Leo Tolstoy
Paranoia in the Launderette - Bruce Robinson
Filth – Irvine Welsh
The Communist Manifesto - Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels
Midnight’s Children – Salman Rushdie
The Master and Margarita - Mikhail Bulgakov
The Skipping Rope Snake – Carol Ann Duffy
Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World – Haruki Murakami
The Twits – Roald Dahl
Millennial Capitalism and the Culture of Neoliberalism - Eds Jean Comaroff, John L. Comaroff
