Common Green Shield Bug

Found on the Rosa rugosa in the garden hedge this afternoon. There was a little wind blowing and using my macro lens plus 2 extension tubes it took quite a few shots to get one focussed enough to blip. It was posing beautifully though. I nearly put probably a male? but thought I'd better not ;-)

Quite nice in the large version.

It has been a lovely day again today, but the nights are drawing in and becoming quite chilly.
