Before & After

After all the excitement of yesterday, most of today has been spent pootling around home. I tackled the polytunnel. It was rampant. Here is a documentary collage (!) - before and after. Before: a riot of tomatoes, courgettes, purple sprouting, green beans, spinach, grapes, sweet peas, rocket - all getting a bit past their best. After: a large compost heap and a clearer tunnel. A few tomatoes remain, plus grapes. Note Edie Puss looking in amazement as to where her little nest behind the sweet peas has gone. I'll be able to hang the washing out without it getting entangled in purple sprouting too.
Seaweed will now be applied and I may bung in some winter salads and spinach.
