BJ's

Sunny morning and a drive to Quinta shopping (expensive but beautiful shops) followed by a walk across the Ria Formosa (nature reserve) and down onto the very breezy Praia at Quinta do Lago. Coffee at Gigis then a drive around looking at more beautiful villas, amazing flowers and picturesque landscapes.

Decided to track down an interesting sounding place my sister had recommended for lunch. BJ's Oceanside is a restaurant on the beach beyond Vale do Lobo at Praia do Almargem. Well, what a find ! Great service, food and location ! The salad I had was possibly the nicest one I've ever had - BJ's detox raw it was called and consisted of salad leaves, avocado, courgette, roasted flaked almonds and olives accompanied by toasted pitta bread and home made hummus. Delicious !

Back home for a swim and sunbathe at the villa prior to BBQ prawns, cold meats and local cheese accompanied by some ice cold Vinho Verde !

We seem to be getting the hang of this holiday lark, pity it's our last day tomorrow !!
