From Pennan to Portknockie
...with a few beautiful stops along the way!
This is Crovie, a tiny picturesque village where there is no room for cars. The postman, whom we had also met a bit earlier in the morning in the small village Pennan, had to leave his car at the south of the village and then walk all the way to the house farthest north with an envelope in his hand :)
Gardenstown was less charming (we just drove through a few streets so we could say "been there"!) but Portsoy was pretty.
In the afternoon we used our good walking map and walked all the way from Cullen to Portknockie. It's a lovely path with lots to see, for example Bow Fiddle Rock.
This was our last day in the northern part of Scotland, tomorrow we will drive to Edinburgh Airport and fly home in the afternoon. It's been great!
