School days

Oh dear. L was a bit shaky over school today. In fact she was in full blown scream mode. She doesn't want her hair tidy and doesn't want to wear uniform again. Even I fell to bits at drop off in the end as really I know it's all sinking in that this school thing is for keeps and she could actually do with a day off as rest.

We kept the afternoon free so she could recharge and hopeful that tomorrow will be better.

My blip is E's poster for a charity event she's made up. Smiles for Miles was made when E was frustrated that her grandad didn't have a lot of support when he left bospital but was still very frail. She's like to put a smile back on people's faces by donating some money to some charities such as McMillan, age UK and our local hospice as these were the groups she felt wanted to help her grandad but clearly lack funds. All we have to do is do a couple of laps of the park by any means you like (running, fancy dress parade, scooting) and get donations or contribute to the pot in order to take part. Cakes on sale afterwards. I'm sure it will only be a few of us that turn up but I love that she wants to do something. I'll take pics and remind her of her kind heart when she's older.

J tried to put the spare wheel on his car today and the jack went straight though the rust. Next stop, welders!
