Visited the local Hi Skool this morning to try and engender some community spirit into the pupils, in particular to persuade them to participate in the cinema activities. There plenty of other organisations vying for their attention: the Rotarians, for example, were trying to recruit entries to a music competition but there was the stipulation that any instrument with a mains plug would not be allowed, that archaic attitude seemed to be quite a handicap. The general idea was that groups would turn up and discus with us what we had to offer; in practice, they came into the room and either skulked in corners or tried to hide behind one another.
As I was making my escape, I noticed this upstairs window.
