Windless windfall

Despite there being little wind the apples continue to drop off the tree. Can't keep up (see photo of a few days ago) - we are using them and giving them away (and leaving the small or badly bruised ones at the back of the border for whatever wildlife wants them), but the pile keeps increasing. It has been a pretty fine summer - and the weather is still warm and dry.
