In Disgrace

Yep…here he is…..tied up to the plum tree awaiting a bath. Will he meet my eye? Nah....too guilty. We did have fun down along the river tracks until Fergus found and rolled in something absolutely disgusting… I suspect it came from a human originally. He stank to high heaven. Damage control involved a quick vigorous swim in the river to rinse the worst off. The vehicle windows were down all the way home. There is still some debris around his neck….yuck. Why do dogs do this? He looked so proud of himself when he first emerged from the trees.
Anyway he was hosed, shampooed, hosed and his collar disinfected. He now smells of baby shampoo…almost sweet…until next time.
Yay! It is raining……. Long may it last…well until morning anyway. I hope the very dry West Coast is getting a decent fall of rain. It is what we need in order to avoid a spring drought.
