Harvesting apples

At Tiilentie there are three apple trees, one for each of the children, that were planted by their late grandfather.

Actually Paula's tree just withered away last winter, so now there are only Pirkka's and Petri's trees left. Pirkka's valkea kuulas is an apple tree which bears a lot of fruit. The apples are very juicy, delicious to eat as such, but also great for baking.

I took some to my mother and we made a Tarte Tatin pie for ourselves in the evening, yummy!
