I told you it was spring...

...yesterday.

Today for Foody Friday I was going to blip the chocolate éclair I had for afternoon tea. But then we found this potential steak newborn calf. We gave the mother some hay, hence Foody Friday.

These cows last calved just after we bought them last May. With no babies arriving as expected we thought the bull wasn't doing his job. So it's been a nice surprise to find 3 new calves in the last couple of weeks. John thinks they are reverting to their natural cycle and reproducing in the spring.

Too bad about the éclair. It was a nice shot. I will just have to have another one next week instead.
