A Grand Day Out....

.....after an afternoon of plotting with LLCoolJim and Edwards' Eye (and watching Scotland implode 5 mins from full-time and a famous victory against Wales), we retreated to Chez Scobes for some seafood pasta and Pentland IPA last night.

Lazy start to the morning, but Nancy was determined to have us out of the house and on the road for 10am. I had no idea where we were going; here's the itinerary as it panned out:
1) Coffee and cake in pretty Culross Village, by the Firth of Forth. Gorgeous wee 17th and 18th Century village.
2) Lunch in the Birds and Bees - don't bother, ready prepared and microwave food dominate the menu. Shame because they keep a good stock of real ale.
3) The Pineapple - bizarre and quirky 18th century building.
4) And finally stopped at Airth Castle Hotel Resort for a night. Most surprised.

Swimming, reading, munching and lots of snoozing......a grand day out.

Edit: No blippers we killed by trains in the making of this blip, but don't sit with your back to the 11am Alloa to Stirling express if you want to live a long life.
