Fishing - what's it all about?

Another early start today. For the second day in succession the alarm rang just after 5.00am. Struggled out of bed and hit the road again. This time we headed south to a carp fishery for a charity fishing day.

Never really understood fishing, seems like a lot of sitting around and not much action to me. Having said that, I went fly fishing a couple of years back and was lucky enough to whip a trout out of the lake. Must've been the huntergatherer in me, but I remember the adrenalin pumping as I had to deliver the killer blow. There is something very satisfying about catching your evening meal and perhaps I need to add a days fishing to the agenda again soon.
