Limelight flowers
This is the lovely hydrangea paniculata limelight - my favourite plant in the newishly dug boarders.
I bought it last summer when we moved into the new house and it lived (quite happily) in a large pot until we created the borders earlier this year. Since then it has flourished and is the star piece of the flower bed.
It always looks lovely from the moment its large cool lime-green flower heads first appear in early summer, right through to the autumn when the flower heads fade to cream and then pink. Almost magical.....
