No Longer There

Had a random walk on the way home, at a village called Sedgwick - a lady recommended walking along the canal that is no longer there. Along the way, saw this bridge over the canal that is no longer there, for a road that is also no longer there.

(Canal was built in 1819 to link Preston to Kendal, and stopped being used 128 years later, in 1947.)

It is sad to leave the beauty of the Lakes, but far more joy in arriving back and seeing my daughter, s-i-l, and especially, my totally gorgeous grandson...
