Half bushel by volume

Soulard Market was one of three places visited earlier today. Whilst there, we tried some of a local delicacy - Butter Cake - which, as the name would suggest, has very few calories.....

Earlier we went to St Louis Zoo and to the St Louis Museum of Art, from which note this subtle, partial selfie.

Both the Zoo and the Art Museum are in the huge, beautifully landscaped Forest Park and both have free admission. Recently, Trip Advisor published a list of the World's best zoos. St Louis was rated fourth and Chester, which I visited in August, came in sixth place. Both are very good but I would rate Chester slightly higher than St Louis. From the zoo, I might have blipped this Burrowing Owl, for no better reason than the superb quality of produce from the winery of that name in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley.

Later, I saw the Cardinals beat the Rockies 5-1, featuring the new St Louis star name at second base.
