Swanning About

I've been mounting some of my swan pics with pretty pastels and framing them for Mother's care home fete tomorrow. It used to be The Swan public house and many villagers remember drinking there. Let's hope some of them come to swell the coffers.

I walked around Seventy Acres Lake for the first time in ages today. I was on the lookout for swans of course but was delighted to see my first hobby perched in a dead tree. These little birds of prey feed mainly on dragonflies. Plenty of those on the wing.

The swan in my pic is very relaxed, no need for busking at this time of year. It's just swanning about. :)
