Food for Thought

These dear people are the service crew for a dinner and talk for parents in the area surrounding St John's, Grays. And what a wonderful group of servants they are. Food, setting, service, atmosphere were all wonderful. I had the privilege of speaking on parenting.

It was a great evening, but with a disturbing start. We drove to the venue and passed a man who had collapsed in the street near the church. A young man and his wife were tending to him. We spent some time there, helping as best we could, before the paramedics arrived. Thank goodness for ordinary people willing to stop, help and make themselves vulnerable. The young man took his shirt off to provide a makeshift pillow.
