The Queen's Building, Wolverhampton
Built in 1849 to a design by architect Edward Banks, this fine structure was originally the gateway for Wolverhampton High Level Station, Now High Level Station is demolished (during modernisation of the rail network the current Wolverhampton Station was built), the entrance building is all that survives. Originally the two large central arches were for carriage access and two smaller arches at either side were for pedestrians. Today the arches are filled in and the ground floor is a Costa Coffee outlet.
