Northern Lights!
Determined to go out tonight and find the northern lights, I headed toward the lake.
I went to a place on Lake Winnipesaukee that faced north. Shortly after I arrived, which was right after sunset, I set up my tripod. I began to see rays shooting up to the sky from the horizon.
This is the first time I've seen the northern lights, and first time photographing them!
What a great experience! Millions of stars, the Milky Way, and meteors were all out there, as I began to photograph. I only had about a half hour before the moon rose.
Then, when the moon came up, it was a deep gold.
Tonight was a gift! Thank you!
