Fading away...

The summer flowers are almost at an end in the garden. Caught sight of this bloom and liked the fuzzy texture - have no idea what the plant is called.

This time last year we were all at beautiful Denton Hall celebrating my daughter's wedding day - there was a pink theme running through the wedding, so this flower seemed somewhat appropriate.

The year seems to have passed so quickly! Looking at the wedding photos today I have been cringing at the sight of me as "mother of the bride". Somehow this year I have managed to lose two and a half stones - wish I could have done that last year, although it was the wedding photos which spurred me on. A medical condition makes it more difficult to lose weight, but I now feel so much better, so will continue the fight!!
