Got invited to tea at colleague friend Shelina's place this afternoon. For several years, I've done a Christmas tea for a small group of friends from work. It always seemed to be after G had already left. This year, we had it in January and now decided to meet up, a bit spontaneously, at a different time of the year.

My blip is the view from the balcony on the 11th floor. This is one part of Dubai Silicon Oasis. How would you fancy one of these then?? Think they are upwards of £500,000 and the location is about 20kms out of town in what is now still the desert, but I guess after another 20 years, will be the outskirts of the city. The boxes on the roofs are air-conditioning units.

We had a pleasant time doing afternoon tea - Indian style. Came home via Lamcy where I popped in to pick up my new blue jeans which needed to be made shorter and G did a bit of clothes shopping of her own. Can't believe the weekend is over and another work week awaits.
