Discarted Mystery

Somebody threw away this picture, along with a stack of framed diplomas. Assuming that the people in the frame are connected to the accolades, her name is Marion, and he is Robert Carl (went by Carl). She had a bachelor of science, which, in this town, means she probably either stayed home or worked as a secretary of some sort at the university. He had a law degree (earned in 1940s), was an accomplished runner, and a member of some fraternity. Since there is no law school here, he either practiced, or taught at an affiliated department (perhaps business law at the business school?).

I could just knock on the my neighbor's door and find out who they were, but what would be the fun in that. Instead, I will take the picture apart, see if I can find anything more, and to preserve the photos as the whole thing is rotting from mildew and acid in the mat board...

Reminds me an excellent cinematographic production by Stephen Poliakoff titled Shooting the Past.

On another note entirely, today is the 16th birthday of one Gillian aka "Little Shit". Happy Birthday, oh fellow "Chuck" fan!
