Sun Flare

Yet another glorious sunrise, although I was a little bit late in capturing it this morning ... Ten minutes earlier and it might not have been quite so bright and glaring ... So I've subdued the image somewhat and "sepiarized" it (if that's a word) in an attempt to stop the sun's image from flaring too much ...
I could have tried to catch the sunset instead, which was also quite nice, but I didn't get the opportunity ...

Talking about the sun flaring, it would have been even nicer to have captured the "Northern Lights", which I have seen from here in Guernsey many years ago, but looking up into the sky this evening revealed no such spectacle ... Never mind ... Maybe one day ... :o)
