Brighton County Borough Asylum

This is the water tower situated next to Princess Royal Hospital which I photographed today after picking J's Dad up following his knee operation on Wednesday.

I noticed whilst I waited with the car that it had a sign on it "Brighton County Borough Asylum". This was the water tower for the old county asylum which was situated next to the new hospital. The old asylum building is now converted into flats and the water tower now serves the new hospital.
