Hawthorne Bridge

We were out in the Woodstock neighborhood this morning to choose flooring for the laundry room - I found something I think will be good. As we were in the neighborhood we stopped in at Toast for brunch and bagged a spot at the counter again, always noisy and lots to watch.

Pictured here is the Hawthorne Bridge with the center span lifted to allow for a heavily laden barge to pass underneath - you can see the raised part of the bridge where the two red lights are. We were there for about 10 minutes so plenty of time for me to lean out of the car window and take a few photos - probably too many as I had difficulty choosing and the pictures are all essentially the same! Ha! Some of the other shots are on Flickr...

Next stop was the hardware store, then the pet supply place. Now I think we're done for the day and can laze about.
