Henry V
Bell Shakespeare did an incredible performance of Henry V. One of those pieces that will stick with you for a long time. The set up was very clever, in a school room in the middle of the London Blitz, with a class amusing and distracting themselves by reading and acting Henry V. They grabbed whatever was to hand for props and costumes, deftly fighting with cricket bats and draped in choir robes. Bookshelves were transformed into ships, beds and battlegrounds. It was a powerful adaptation, in which you saw both Henry V and the impact of war on young people.
It's touring until November, if you get a chance to see it, do it.
