Two Swimming Bags

A bit of a rite of passage today - now that my son has started school he has graduated to "swim academy" and now has his swimming lesson after school on a Monday, at the same time as his sister. This was a big step for him, as it marks the first time he has had to go into the pool on his own, without either his father or me being with him.

I am told he did really well, no crying or fuss, and even managed to swim half a length hanging on to a "noodle".

There was a change for my daughter as well, as she's been moved into the next level class Her teacher now is the teacher she had all the way through her pre-school classes. She is delighted to be reunited with her, and worked really hard for her. The class she is in takes place in the deep end, so she really does have to work hard to stay afloat through the class.
