(Jardins du) Château de Brécy

That's what we hoped to visit. We were even able to find it after some navigation, but didn't realise that it only opens mid afternoon. We didn't feel like waiting 2.5 hours and only had the chance to walk a bit around the main entrance.

There's a funny piece of art in the middle of the square (better in large).
