Holiday

This is our home for the week (not the best picture - sorry!) - we're staying in a cottage in the Cotswolds for our first family holiday.

Mum and dad kindly came round this morning to look after OBD whilst I packed - and dad also mowed the grass! Which was an amazing help for me to pack all our bags and OBDs stuff (toys / travel cot/ playmat etc etc etc). The fella has been working his ass off to be ready for our hols (including very very late nights) and had to go in this morning which wasn't great but managed to leave just after lunch so we packed the car v quickly and set off. Had timed it so OBD was fed and tired and it worked - she slept pretty much the whole way.

We spent a bit more than we usually would on a UK break but I think it's going to be worth it - the cottage is lovely. We have a huge lounge / dining area / study, a well appointed kitchen, a huge bedroom with a mahoosive bed and plenty of room for OBDs cot and a bathroom. There are 12 cottages around the site - I think all converted stables / out buildings of a huge Abbey - and a swimming pool and games room along with loads of other child friendly things such as a playhouse which would be great if OBD was older. But she'll love the swimming which was one of the main reasons for coming here.

The fella just needs to finish a bit of work - the boss has already phoned him - then am going to make him relax!
