Arachnophilia?

We had lunch on the deck in the sunshine (mostly) but for the first time this year we were seriously bothered by wasps. Last week this little chap had caught one and was proceeding to wrap it up, Shelob style, in an impressive cocoon of silver fibres. Try as we might, we couldn't bat any of the wasps into the web this week. In the end we had to settle for squashing them.
