I was certain his foot wasn't bare when he was on the swing in the park, so initially just checked the roads and paths between home and the park when it was determined that one of his feet was no longer shod when he was removed from the macpacbackpack when we got in. Not finding it, I disconsolately popped back to the shop for some earwax-softening solution, then checked the wee film of the giggling on the swing in case I needed to check the shops we'd been in and the route we'd taken on the way out. Both feet were definitely both covered, so I went back through the park again and past the playpark and along the path then found it, concealed from view when going in the other direction.
